An update for everyone on the DAO voting issue we've been dealing with on Snapshot. We've traced the problem to their ERC-721 "strategy" we use to calculate NFT voting power, which is now failing where it didn't before.
Digging into the code, there are a number of issues that need to be addressed, including why the blockchain is suddenly failing "multicall" requests. I'm working on rewriting the strategy now and hope to have it working shortly.
In the meantime, I've submitted a pull request to their main library that will likely cut the response time for ALL blockchain requests on Snapshot in half, through response compression. You can read more about it here.
Both pull requests will have to be reviewed and accepted before we will be able to get voting back up and running, which is likely still a few days out.
Often, delivering the best experience for the Lunar Ecosystem means learning other people's code and fixing their mistakes. I'll keep you folks posted as the process continues, so we can get the Marketing LIP up for a vote.
